Fundraising Thoughts...

So we are planning our first Bake Sale in the next couple of weeks.   We plan on having at least 2-3 of them.

I also have a couple of other ideas for fundraising...
  • Someone that I met on the Walk last time had done a Wine Tasting with a local Liquor Store and got all the profits from ticket sales as well as 10% of the sales.  We could also do a private one of these with an entry fee as ticket sales.
  • Firespinning Performance -- this would depend on getting a location and people volunteering to perform (Hmmm... giving firespinners a chance to burn, somehow I don't think that part will be a problem ;-)
  • Potluck Dinner
  • Portrait Day - I know at least 4 or 5 photographers -- If any would like to volunteer their time to take photos at a location for an afternoon.   Sitting fee goes to the Walker who sold them the sitting fee.  Customers get a printed and digital copy of their portrait poses.
  • LJ Auction ala [livejournal.com profile] shadesong style.
Do any of these ideas speak to you?   Would you like to help with any of them?   Do you have any other ideas that sound interesting?

Please share your thoughts...

We have until August...

To raise money. I was thinking if we do a FireSpin it would probably be in April or May.

But yes, I like the wine tasting idea too. I thought that was really neat when the Walker told me about it in DC.

The wine shop in Ball Square might be a good one to approach for a wine tasting event. It's a nice shop, and the owners are friendly.
