The Good, the Bad and the Fire...
Sep. 10th, 2005 11:47 pmHad a really good time today/tonight.
hir0protagonist and I had very pleasant though long overdue breakfast/morning together then headed to the craft store for some Wildfire stuff, then to Salem to pick up
buxom_bey and
dooeyedbunny for the End of Summer party. The afternoon at the party was fun catching up with people, hanging around, listening to some good music and chatting with a couple new people.
The bad news is A still didn't get the job in Danvers and obviously is still unemployed... there have been some layoff rumors going around my workplace and being a contractor in that situation is not the most comfortable of places (anyone need a really good Sr Sys Admin or an equally good Helpdesk/Desktop Support person?). The lack of health insurance has been causing a few very uncomfortable problems as well.
But I am getting better with my fire spinning. I am still not at the improvisation level I want to be, but things are slowly working... practice, practice, practice. I am definately getting a high out of spinning and it is by far the most fullfilling and meditative hobby I have ever taken up... (though its been a long time since I did pottery and I do remember gaining similiar feelings from that as well)
We tested out the new music mix my boyfriend put together for me and I love it. I "gave a taste" to him this evening and it is such an adrenalin rush... I love the sound of fire spinning around me, there is nothing quite like it. Sharing that with someone I love is just really hot in more ways than one. I would like to get good enough to have some sit in front of me and I can spin around them. I got my first "taste" that way and it had me hooked.
