I still have almost $600 to raise for the walk and I need to do it by May 15th in order to participate in the walk.

If you would like to just make a straight donation please check out my donation page.

I am also requesting submissions, if you would like to donate something to the newest Auction - let me know. It can be a baked good, a savory dish, a piece of art or a service of some kind. Whatever you might like to offer.

The new Auction opens on Monday April 29th. But as always I will accept submissions up until the day before the Auction closes.

[livejournal.com profile] treatsfortits is a  project of  [livejournal.com profile] taura_g for the purpose of raising money for the July 2011 Komen for the Cure 3-Day Walk right here in the Boston area.

To this end, we are running a baked goods auction with a silent auction format. Each item will have its own entry in the [livejournal.com profile] treatsfortits journal. Each item has a minimum bid. If you're interested in purchasing this item, put a bid -- at least $1 above the previous bid, if any, please -- in the comments. Please make subsequent bids in replies to previous bids, so that people will be notified when they've been outbid.

This auction begins today, Saturday, June 4th, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Monday June 13th. We think preparation of items could begin in the following week, unless otherwise specified and/or agreed upon.  The pickup date will be the week of June 21st.

At the close of the auction, we'll notify the winning bidders and ask them to donate the price of the goods via one of the team members donation pages. If you are not local to Boston and would like to bid, talk to us about mailing the items to you, which should be fine as long as they don't require refrigeration or won't fall apart during the mailing process. If you would like to pick up your winnings at a different time, it's probably best to negotiate that directly with the baker.

Would you like to donate a treat to the auction? Got any other questions? Go here and ask!! In the meantime, please spread the word, and bid early and often. :)
