Yeah, not the wisest of ideas...
Dec. 9th, 2005 04:40 pmWork closed down at 1:30pm. I really should have waited around a few hours till the snow slowed down or stopped even. But no, like the rest of those of us who were left, I just wanted to get out of there and get home.
I left the parking lot at 1:45pm, I walked into my house at 4:15pm. 2.75 hours to get home including the 15 minutes I spent cleaning off my car. When traffic is bad it might take an hour or so...but most of the trip wasn't over 10mph. Near white-out conditions, cars sliding off the road and highways that were barely plowed made it all the more interesting. Should have just waited. Because after that I am now wired, stressed, muscles tied in knots and emotionally exhausted.
I won't be doing that again anytime soon.
