Look down, change radio station.  Look up, brake lights. 

Not enough time to brake, so I swerve off the road to avoid being smashed into the car in front of me.

Its a good thing I was in the Cherokee.  A non-SUV would not have come through the ditches without (much of, anyway) a scratch.

I wasn't scratched either, but I was bumped around a good bit.  I've had whiplash once before and it is just as much un-fun as I remember it.

I'm really annoyed and sorry I didn't make it to Staxmas.   I had such a good time there a few weeks ago.
